Another day of rest but for the evening invited to dinner at the von Lingens, a 15-minute walk away, of whom the husband is my friend and colleague for fourteen years from the civil service of the European Parliament (recently retired), and the wife most coincidentally is from Montreal.

Morning at the most incredible Royal Army and Military History Museum with a personally guided tour, by the curator, of its Treasures of Imperial Russia permanent exhibition with many unique items for which the adjective "opulent" is insufficient to describe.
